SOOTCH!!!! You come through over again! I have got to get my keester down to Family Depot and get one. I am fond of Maglights(I have 3 so far), and I place of protection’t seen this one yet. Thankfulness for putting out another fantastic review on a “must have” manufactured goods. Thankfulness Brother!!!

Surprising quantity of misinformation in this vid.

Lithium CR123 cells are to be sure expensive. But single from stores. Preeminent way to save cash on them is buy online, in bulk, and Made in America cells. Huge savings there. Beware of low-cost ones from China that can produce a flashlight to vent with flame.

Any LED flashlight will be brighter and have longer runtime compared to even a quality incandescent light. It’s not just the XL50. Lithiums in LED illumination will blow an XL50 out of the water.

Sorry. Forgot to add that disparate alkaline batteries, lithiums don’t leak. That, along with their 10-year shelf life, makes them the preeminent for long-stretch storage just about anywhere. Especially in a BOB. LED technology advances even quicker than computer technology. A recent LED develop in succession on a single CR123 section can give several hours of runtime on a low setting, while making it look as though you’ve got the power of the sun in another setting.

@NGMonocrom The purpose of using a light be fond of this are the batteries are common. Nearly every household, pile, 2nd hand diffident, or toy will have run A batteries. This is the mindset. I reckon he knows what a lithium battery is… -_-

If you place a high-performance engine intro a tractor-ad truck, you can’t at that time say that it’s not excellent because you couldn’t get 0-60 performance out of it under 5 seconds. Streamlight Scorpion has been obsolete for about 4 years now. Place CR123 cells into a more bestow LED light, and you will see a difference.

As for AA and AAA cells, they make those in lithiums as water supply. Alkies leak. As a flashlight company uses a 3AAA battery-carrier, they cheaped out.
